In short, I like Kate Somerville’s Goat Milk Moisturizing Cream. It nourishes, calms, is very suitable for the skin, and can reduce redness very well.
The texture is very watery but creamy. The product is very moisturizing and I recommend applying it lightly as it will feel a little heavy, especially if you have combination or oily skin.
I get a little shiny when using this during the day, which is why I like to keep it in my night routine. Having said that, it is still the staple food in my skin care series and helps to replenish the moisture I lost during the day. My skin is very soft, smooth and glowing when I wake up.
The hero of Kate Somerville’s goat milk moisturizer is—you guessed it—goat milk, or more specifically the lactose found in it. In essence, it can gently exfoliate without any irritation.
There are also coconut oil, avocado oil and jojoba oil to nourish the skin (very suitable for dry skin types), as well as the antioxidant properties of grape seed oil. Interestingly, there are some witch hazel and rosemary in it, which I usually try to avoid because I think they are astringent, but in this case, they are nothing to worry about.
Overall, I like Kate Somerville Goat Milk moisturizer. I highly recommend using it in winter instead of summer because it may be a bit thick and too moisturizing (if so?). The moisturizer does not have SPF and will definitely follow up with sunscreen. I really like this product, it is one of the top moisturizers I have used.
I hope this review is helpful to those who are curious about Kate Somerville Goat Milk moisturizer. What is your current or favorite moisturizing cream?
